Join the Audax Australia Cycling Club for a spectacular long distance ride through the Great Alpine Valleys in autumn. The ride will take in areas such as Bright, Myrtleford, Lake Buffalo, Beechworth and Yackandandah. All rides begin and end in Howitt Park in Bright and some light refreshments will be provided at checkpoints. Register by April 14, members $15, non-members $20.

  • 3km course flat - for families and under 16's. No roads to cross.
  • 10km course is out and back, over half of it flat, some gently undulating with several rises of about 20 - 30m

Bright Spring Festival is celebrating 22 years of spring fun this year with 10 days of open gardens and uniquely Bright events.
A small town with small town hospitality, locals open their gardens, their wineries and restaurants, put on special dinners and have fetes, morning teas and bike rides.
There will also be flower displays, live theatre, exhibitions, markets, concerts, a film festival, garden workshops and loads of stunning sights. Visitors can do everything from a social game of tennis, croquet or golf with locals, a guided walk up Mount Buffalo, to taking in a photography exhibition.
Local produce features with a number of local restaurants and wineries putting a special focus on seasonal produce, hosting events and special menus. Degustation evenings, luncheons and intimate dinners all feature.

Over 1000 hot rods and classic vehicles will be driving in and around Bright over the weekend.  Saturday afternoon from 1pm the cars cruise to Myrtleford and Mount Beauty on a Poker Run.  There is also a smaller cruise to Harrietville.  The more adventurous Rodders will be trying out their driving skills in the ‘Go to Whoa’ event.  On the Sunday from 9am will be the Show and Shine at Pioneer Park, incorporating the Monster Rotary Market and live music in the Marquee.
